Goal: ordering should be as easy as a bol.com experience, but with business services behind it (leasing, installation, support).
Core features: real-time inventory, quantity discounts, service bundles, customer portal with order history, “one-click quote.”
Success criteria: 80% repeat orders within 6 mn.
We took a B2B-first approach: clear net prices, account-based discounts and a checkout that supports both iDEAL/KBC and payment by invoice.
Design & Functionality
An SME owner does not have time to search – he wants to filter and order smoothly.
Clean UI – quiet colors, lots of white space, product photos on neutral background.
Search & find – type-ahead search, smart filters (brand, stock in days, lease rate).
Quick-reorder – order history with “repeat in 1 click”.
Mobile first – field-techs who need a laptop adapter on the job simply order via cell phone.
Development & Technology
For shop.network-it.be, we deliberately chose a pure WordPress installation with WooCommerce – nothing more, nothing less, but nicely extended for the Belgian SME reality:
